About the role

Due to company growth, an exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Construction Worker - labourer with a solid construction background, responsible for carrying out general duties to assist the various trade qualified positions and supervisors. This position reports to the Site Supervisor.

Responsibilities of the Labourer include

·      Execute specific trade related activities in an effective and efficient manner.

·      Operate a variety of hand and power tools as directed.

·      Retain current certificates that may be required for the operation of machinery and plant or equipment.

·      Establish and maintain a close working relationship with team members, contractors, suppliers, and clients.

·      Manage any issues that may arise and deal with them in a reasonable timeframe.

·      Undertake site administration activities in accordance with company policies and procedures and client contractual requirements.

·      Monitor the latest revisions of any drawings, schedules and specifications as notified are in use on site.

·      Identify and report project related quality, safety and environmental problems.

·      Assist with the execution of safety and quality audits for all works on an ongoing basis and as directed.

·      Ensure that all your activities within project responsibilities comply with the contract specification, including all safety and environmental requirements.

·      Assist in the implementation of relevant safety management and environmental management plans.

·      Ensure you work safely at all times and wear the correct PPE for the job at hand.

·      Ensure that subcontractors are properly inducted on the requirements relating to site safety and comply with all ProGroup safety requirements and procedures.


To be successful in your application you will require

·      Be reliable and punctual.

·      A good work ethic and be a team player.

·      A commitment to work health and safety.

·      Be a self-starter with good time management and organisational skills.

·      Hold appropriate licences to operate machinery would be an advantage or be prepared to be trained.

·      At least 1 year of experience working on construction sites.

·      A valid and current drivers licence.

·      Working with children clearance.

·      Ability to use power tools and equipment.

·      Ability to use technology to assist in the management of information and planning.

·      Be an Australian Citizen or have permanent work rights with no restrictions.
