Melonba Temporary High School, one of the three temporary schools, is set to open its doors in time for term one, 2024. Initially planned to accommodate only year 7 students, the commitment has expanded to include year 8 students as well, catering to a total of 400 students. The school will feature fit-for-purpose classrooms, a canteen, library, administration facilities, bathrooms, and playground space.
The growing population in Sydney's North has led to a significant demand for additional school facilities. Recognising the urgency, the NSW Government's solution involves the establishment of three temporary schools—Tallawong, Nirmiba Fields, and Melonba. However, the tight timeline, resource constraints, and unpredictable weather conditions have posed substantial challenges to the ProGroup Project Management Team.
